ICC Canada’s 2021 Annual International Arbitration Conference, Leaning into the Future, offers an exceptional group of speakers to address several important forward-looking issues. The Conference will kick off with a discussion aimed at exploring international arbitration as a transnational system of justice and arbitral institutions as its backbone. The incoming President of the ICC Court of International Arbitration, Claudia Salomon, will share with us during a Fireside Chat her plan for the coming years at the Court. Finally, four talented advocates will spar over two hotly contested issues: the role of AI in the adjudication of disputes and its (in)ability to achieve the same or better dispute outcomes as human decision-making, and the (un)settled status of regulation of third-party funding in international commercial arbitration.
